Strawberry Balsamic Quinoa

Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) is a fantastic, filling grain that’s a great addition to any meal. And this dish is a great way to use fresh strawberries, which are abundant in the springtime.

  • 1 cup quinoa cooked, rinsed
  • water as directed
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1.5 cups strawberries sliced
  • 4 tbsp fresh basil chopped


  1. Cook quinoa as instructed on package. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. Stir together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a bit of water, salt, and honey until well combined in a medium-sized bowl.

  3. Add sliced strawberries to the bowl and stir gently to combine.

  4. Once quinoa has cooled, fold the strawberry mixture into the quinoa, stirring until the dressing is evenly distributed.

  5. Top with chopped basil and enjoy!
